Ruth's Fanzine - Aug / Sept 2016

Hello Readers!

As you know, the "Savage Cowboys" series released last month. If you've read it and enjoyed it, please do let me know or leave a review at Amazon. Reviews are always much appreciated.

I've got a bit of a funny story about HAWKE - the first book in the series. I was tagged on Facebook to post 7 lines from the book. When I did, here's what I copied:

“You’ve got a filthy mind and a filthy mouth,” she snapped, then turned back and grabbed her bitches off the chair beside the bed.
“That I do.” He chuckled, loving that she had spoken her mind, instead of shrinking away in shame.
“Did you know your eyes flash when you’re riled?”
“Flash? Like a bat, I suppose.”
He laughed heartily. “Damn, I love a spirited woman.”

A GOLD STAR to anyone who sees the problem! Of course, I've already laughed about it on Facebook and Twitter, so some of you will recognize the passage right away. I've since corrected the above error, but it's pretty funny. If you purchased the book before I made the correction, you can find it at the end of the Prologue. In light of this funny, I'm going to re-feature HAWKE this month in the newsletter.

HAWKE - Savage Cowboys Book 1 (Western Historical)

Raquel’s in trouble. In 1866, lawlessness in Texas abounds. Sometimes the only way for a widow to survive is to deal with the devil. Hawke, a half-Apache loner, lives by his own rules. When Rachel offers him money to kill a killer, he’s intrigued. He’ll deliver the body, if he can have her body too. The two forge an unlikely partnership, and it leads them to their very own happily-ever-after.
